Welcome! to Acorns Nursery in Edinburgh. Like all Careshare nurseries, our nursery provides quality childcare for babies and young children up to 5 years of age.
At Acorns Nursery we would like to take this opportunity to let you know what we do and where we are situated. Our lovely purpose-built nursery opened in January 2003 offering care for 78 children from 0 to 5 years.
Acorns Nursery is open from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday. We run two different settings a day: 7.30 am to 1.00 pm and 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
At Acorns Nursery we provide a warm caring and stimulating environment. All our staff are qualified to nurture each child and meet their individual needs within their own age group, preparing them for the next steps in their development.
Acorns Nursery is situated at the main entrance to the New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on Little France Crescent. This is just off the A7 Dalkeith Road, within easy reach of the City Bypass and on the main route into Edinburgh town.
Our nursery is a modern single level building with easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. There is a drop-off point for parents outside the main entrance to the nursery, which is just off the main route into the hospital. We are near the north entrance to the hospital site and close to newly planted trees, which shelter the nursery from the hospital.
Acorns Nursery provides care for all children, not just those of the hospital staff.
